Recommend a Required Plan of Treatment and/or Education:
Based on the assessment findings, the SAP recommends a personalized plan of treatment and/or education for the employee. This plan is designed to address the employee's substance abuse issues effectively and to meet DOT regulatory requirements for return-to-duty.
Send a Report to Your Employer about That Recommendation:
The SAP provides a detailed report to the employer outlining the recommended plan of treatment and/or education. This report includes specific requirements and goals for the employee's return-to-duty process, ensuring transparency and compliance with DOT regulations.
Follow Up Meeting
Throughout the treatment and/or education plan, the SAP monitors the employee's progress. This includes conducting follow-up evaluations to verify completion of the recommended program and assessing its effectiveness. The face-to-face follow-up evaluation ensures that the employee has successfully completed the requirements and is prepared to safely resume their safety-sensitive duties.
